Courthouse Creek

Courthouse Creek Cider is the vision of a family sharing common goals and values, coming together to produce heartfully crafted, Virginia cider. We follow a natural method of cider making, also referred to as a rustic style. We use minimal preservatives (if any at all), barrel ferment and/or age all of our ciders, currently bottle condition them all, and do not fine or filter. We find this approach adds nuances and a layering of flavor that cannot be achieved any other way. We embrace the funk! We are also dedicated to growing heirloom cider apples with minimal intervention; we strive to let the red clay of Goochland, Virginia and the soothing winds of the James River do most of the work for us. Currently, we have four acres of trees planted with a variety of American, English, and French cider apple trees. We see ourselves as more than growers, but stewards of the land and valuable members of our community. For us, the term terroir means more than just the nature of the land; it necessarily includes the entire sense of a place. Come and enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the farm tasting through our delicious, rustic cider paired with small, prepared bites. We look forward to seeing you on the farm!
